If I were to describe my Laude-Reut experience in two words, I would choose performance and passion. Performance because I received the support of dedicated teachers to obtain excellent results in the national exams and passion because this is the place where I discovered my passions and skills. Due to the Diplomacy course, Model United Nations extracurricular activities and due to the diplomatic conferences, I became interested in international relations. Therefore, I decided to continue the Lauder experience at IDC Herzliya, Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy.

I have been studying in Israel for the past three weeks and even though it does not seem to be a long period of time, I can definitely say it is the right academic environment for me. The lectures are taught by professionals with a solid research background and the classes are interactive, as students are encouraged to engage in debates. IDC also offers the Model United Nations club, for which I am very grateful, because I can pursue my high school interest at a more academic level. I am also involved in the Ambassador’s Club, a program supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and StandWithUs, which brings Israeli professionals to talk about current affairs.

At the same time, I got the chance to meet other passionate people in my program, who motivate me to strive for more and improve my skills. Being a family is the core foundation of this college, as it is for Laude high school. In Raphael Recanati International School there are students coming from 90 different countries, each having a different cultural background. It is more than exciting to have friends all over the globe and grow together in a multicultural environment. So far we went on the Orientation trip together in the Negev and we also go to Shabbat dinners and engage in social activities on campus.

I am looking forward to my future experiences at IDC Herzliya, as I strongly believe it is the right place to start building my career as a diplomat, having the support of the professionals with a vast experience in this domain and having the motivation to improve myself from the people I am working with.
